About the Artist
Tony Cragg (b. 1949, Liverpool) is often credited with reviving the sculptural tradition in the early 1980s, pushing conceptual and minimalist art in new figurative directions. His awards and exhibition venues include the Turner Prize (1988), the British Pavilion at the 42nd Venice Biennale (1988), the Louvre (2011) and the Nasher Sculpture Center (2011).
