About the Artist

Kim Schoenstadt (b. 1973, Chicago) creates artwork based on certain points in time defined by architecture, sculpture and history.  Often using multimedia, her work defies expectations and even gravity, asking the viewer to examine familiar social and architectural experiences through a new perspective. Her work has been seen in exhibitions at museums throughout the world, including the ICA London, the Brooklyn Museum and the Perez Art Museum in Miami. Schoenstadt currently lives in Venice, CA.
