About the Artist
Ahmed Alsoudani (b. 1975, Baghdad, lives and works in New York) explores themes of war and suffering in the tradition of civilization's great history painters. In 2011, he represented Iraq at the 42nd Venice Biennale and was included in The World Belongs to You, a group exhibition curated by Caroline Bourgeois at the Palazzo Grassi.
